CLA or conjugated linoleic acid is a naturally occurring free fatty acid.Larger quantities can be found in red meat and milk products. CLA was already discovered in the beginning of the 20th century but the benefits as a supplement have only been discovered in the 90's.
Even though CLA does occur in meat and milk, the quantities consumed through these foods is not sufficient to achieve the beneficial effect of CLA. Concentrated CLA in capsule form can supply the necessary amount of CLA to achieve the desired effect.
