Blueberries contain a variety of ingredients which can be beneficial for human health. The most important group of these are proanthocyanidins. They belong to the group of flavonoids and are also responsible for the colour of the berry. Aside from proanthocyanidins, blueberries contain a variety of other flavonoids.
In folk medicine, blueberries are known for their positive effect against diarrhea. Studies also suggest that blueberries can help to regulate blood sugar levels. Another key effect is the ability of blueberries to improve night vision.
Our extract is 10 times concentrated and contains apx. 0,7-0,8% proanthocyanidins.

| Blueberry extract can be dissolved in water or simply added to your breakfast muesli. It also a great addition for any smoothie. There is no general recommended dosage for food items but 1 teaspoon dissolved in 150 ml water is a popular dose form. |
